Pepperdine University Budget and Finance Collection
The Pepperdine University Budget and Finance collection consists of materials related to the fiscal management of the university. Materials in the collection include budget reports, audit reports, policy and procedure manuals, accounting reports, meeting agendas and minutes, and documents related to loans and bonds. Items in the collection span from 1939 to 1984.
Pepperdine University Commencement Collection
Pepperdine University Great Issues Records
The collection contains printed materials, photographs, negatives, and audiocassettes from the Great Issues Series at Pepperdine from 1970 through 1987. Themes addressed in speaker presentations focused on pressing issues of the time, primarily in the areas of policy and economics. Speakers included individuals known in their fields, many of which later went on to play important roles in government or policy.
Pepperdine University Libraries Records
The collection contains materials produced by or about Pepperdine libraries between 1937 and 2013. The libraries represented are the George Pepperdine College Library (Los Angeles campus); Payson Library and the School of Law library (Malibu campus); and the Orange County Center library. Items include correspondence and memos, subject files, photographs, library newsletters, annual reports, and audiocassettes.
Pepperdine University School of Law Records
The Pepperdine University School of Law records consist of items produced by and related to the law school at Pepperdine University. Materials in the collection include brochures, invitations, symposium and conference proceedings, photographs, alumni directories, audiovisual materials and bulletins specific to the School of Law. Items in the collection range from 1969 to 2014.
Pepperdine University School of Professional Studies and Los Angeles Campus Collection
The collection contains materials produced by and about Pepperdine University’s School of Professional Studies (SPS) on the Los Angeles campus. The bulk of the material dates from 1972 to 1981. Materials include general files about the School of Professional Studies, photographs of the Los Angeles campus prior to its sale, and files about the SPS's Division of Human Resources (HRM) programs.
Pepperdine University Women's Organizations Collection
The collection contains materials created by women's organizations of George Pepperdine College and Pepperdine University. Items include member directories and handbooks, financial records, meeting minutes, invitations, correspondence, memos, a scrapbook, and a gavel. Materials range in date from 1937 to 1984.
Peterson and Lauer Family Photo Album
Inez Lauer, the creator of this album, lived in Los Angeles and Oxnard, and spent time at their family cabin at Malibou Lake. This photo album depicts her life during the 1940s and 1950s and contains images of her family and friends, various trips around California and other areas of the United States, and various family residences in Southern California.
Preserving the History of South Los Angeles Collection
Collection consisting of recorded oral history interviews and digitized photographs from elders in the African American community in South Los Angeles. This collection began as a grant-funded Humanities for All Grant from the California Humanities foundation. Individuals were selected who came from a Christian tradition, especially Churches of Christ, and who had some relationship to Pepperdine or its original campus. The project is an ongoing one and materials will continue to be added.
Earl Vivon Pullias Papers
Earl Vivon Pullias was a professor, administrator and scholar of higher education. The collection includes materials that document his positions at Pepperdine College and the University of Southern California, his academic career and research on higher education, and his personal and family life. Materials in the collection range from the 1910s to the early 2000s.
