Scope and Content
The collection contains materials produced by and related to the Pepperdine University School of Law. Items in the collection include brochures for the school and its various degrees and programs; law school bulletins and announcements; materials from symposiums and conferences held at the school; invitations and programs for annual school events such as the School of Law dinner and Moot Court competition; alumni directories; photographs and audiovisual recordings of students and events; and other printed materials. Materials in the collection range from 1969 to 2014.

Historical note
Pepperdine University School of Law began as the Orange University College of Law in Santa Ana, California, in 1964. The school was acquired by Pepperdine in 1969. By 1975, the Pepperdine School of Law received its full ABA approval and full State Bar Accreditation. In 1978, the school moved to Pepperdine's Malibu campus.

Abstract
The Pepperdine University School of Law records consist of items produced by and related to the law school at Pepperdine University. Materials in the collection include brochures, invitations, symposium and conference proceedings, photographs, alumni directories, audiovisual materials and bulletins specific to the School of Law. Items in the collection range from 1969 to 2014.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Original materials were collected from University Archives files. A large accession of photo albums was received from the School of Law in 2023. Several large binders containing Alumni Quarterly Newsletters was received anonymously in 2024.
Processing Information note
The collection was arranged and described by Jessica Geiser, Lindsey Gant, and Jamie Henricks in February, 2013. The finding aid was updated by Katie Richardson and Lindsey Gant in February, 2014. Photographs were added to the collection by Kelsey Knox in June, 2015.
