The collection consists of Dr. Frank Pack's daily planners, grade books, correspondence, notes, and sermons from 1933 to 1990. The lifelong preacher spent the majority of his career at David Lipscomb College, Pepperdine College, and Abilene Christian College. He also preached or was a guest speaker at numerous churches and universities across the country.

The collection includes files collected from James I. Penrod's office between 1970 and 1985 during his time as Vice President for Systems and Planning at Pepperdine University. Materials include correspondence; organization charts; a systems and planning orientation manual; Pepperdine management conference papers; memos; committee meeting minutes and correspondence; an article by Penrod; and other items.

The collection was created by Special Collections and University Archives staff and consists of oral histories with former faculty, staff, donors, distinguished guests, students, and other individuals associated with Pepperdine University. The collection is arranged alphabetically by interviewee's last name.

The collection is a catchall for printed materials and photographs related to Pepperdine University. Topics include campus departments, campus planning, construction, churches, financial aid, events, lectures and conferences, Malibu, educational organizations, off-campus education programs, personnel, and other topics. Files range in date from approximately 1970 to 2012.

Materials in the collection come from various offices and departments on campus responsible for handling public relations and school publications at Pepperdine. Materials in the collection include subject and name files covering events, faculty and alumni; correspondence and interoffice memos; press releases for Pepperdine events and achievements; photographs; and newspaper clippings that focus on or mention Pepperdine.

The collection contains subject files kept by the Office of the Provost, during Darryl Tippens residency as Provost. Though Tippens was only Provost from 2001 to 2014, records date from 1975-2015. The types of material include correspondence, reports, manuals, administrative documents, plans for events and large projects, and general documents about or related to activity at Pepperdine University.

The collection includes agendas, articles, correspondence, financial records, memoranda, meeting minutes, policy lists, schedules, maps and blueprints of the campus, and summaries of action taken by the committee. Materials range from 1974 to 1987.

The collection includes memoranda, correspondence, agendas, minutes, and other documents pertaining to the University Planning Committee (UPC) at Pepperdine University from 1993-2006.

The collection includes fourteen plaques that were at one time displayed around George Pepperdine College or Pepperdine University.

The collection includes documents pertaining to the University Policy Committee at Pepperdine from 1983 to 1992. Topics include student recruitment, university finances, student employment, tuition and other student charges, admissions, graduation, faculty housing, voice mail, and WASC accreditation.
