Lambert Papers documents the activities of Scott Lambert during his tenure as the campus minister of the Malibu Church of Christ (later known as the University Church of Christ) at Pepperdine University from 1987-2005.The collection includes correspondence, clippings, ministry planning materials, intern training materials, Malibu Church of Christ elders meetings minutes (1987-2005), UCC building campaign materials, USSR missions materials, World Mission Workshop notebooks, National Campus Ministries Seminar materials, Campus Crosswalk materials, spiritual gift seminar materials, and ministry records, 1987-2005.

Biographical/Historical
Scott Dean Lambert was born October 11, 1958 and grew up in Harlan, Iowa. He gaduated from Irwin-Kirkman Community High School in 1977. He is a graduate of York College (AA, 1979) and Pepperdine University (BA in Communication, 1985 and MS in Ministry, 1990). Scott married Kim Sauer in 1988 and they have three children, Luke, Micah, and Isaac. Scott first began to participate in the campus ministry of the Malibu Church of Christ as a student in 1982 and began serving as a campus ministry intern in 1984. Scott served as the campus minister for the Malibu Church of Christ (later known as the University Church of Christ) from 1987-2005, which was a time of great growth for the church and campus ministry. The Lamberts regularly hosted students in their home on the Pepperdine campus. They trained and traveled with "Let's Start Talking" mission teams. Scott participated in the leadership for National Campus Ministries Seminar which was designed to train and motivate campus ministers. He participated in the World Mission Workshop program that was dedicated to motivating college students for lives of ministry. He served in adjunct faculty roles at Pepperdine University, teaching ministry to young adults. When Scott left his position as campus minister, he worked with Kairos, a church planting ministry, 2005-2016. He was an associate minister for the Hilltop Church of Christ, 2005-2008. He served as an elder at the Hilltop Church of Christ, 2011-2016. He worked with Let's Start Talking, 2016-2020. He works with Heritage 21 Foundation, 2016- present and leads The Conversation Group, 2020-present.
