Abstract

The Michael F. Adams Papers contain materials relating to his time as vice president of university affairs at Pepperdine University. The collection is primarily composed of materials relating to the Board of Regents, development and giving campaigns, and scheduling. Materials date from 1965-1989.

Abstract

Margaret Martin Brock was a philanthropist who had a long-standing relationship with Pepperdine University, particularly the School of Law. She was also highly involved in fundraising for the Republican Party throughout most of her life. This collection includes correspondence, subject files, photographs, and newspaper clippings about Margaret Brock, her involvement in politics, and her philanthropy.

Abstract Mary Frampton was an award winning photographer who worked for the Los Angeles Times for over thirty years, starting in 1956 as one of the first female staff photographers. Later in life, Frampton became deeply involved with environmental activism in her hometown of Malibu, California, founding the Save Our Coast organization to campaign for environmental causes. Abstract

The collection contains materials related to fundraising efforts run by Pepperdine University, primarily the major fundraising campaigns "Wave of Excellence" and "Challenged to Lead." Paper items include correspondence, handbooks, brochures, gift letters, photographs, interview transcripts, and other items. Audiovisual items are primarily Wave of Excellence film reels and "Challenged to Lead" VHS tapes.

Abstract

The collection contains subject files kept by the Office of the Provost, during Darryl Tippens residency as Provost. Though Tippens was only Provost from 2001 to 2014, records date from 1975-2015. The types of material include correspondence, reports, manuals, administrative documents, plans for events and large projects, and general documents about or related to activity at Pepperdine University.
