This series contains research notes, correspondence, finaincial documents, photographs, photographic slides, and promotional materials related to Zakian's curatorial work for the Agnes Pelton: A Poet of Nature Exhibition which was on show at the Frederick R. Weisman Museum in the Spring of 1996.

Abstract

The collection contains materials related to Pepperdine's involvement in the 1984 Olympics held in Los Angeles. Items include a newsletter, newspaper clippings, invitations, photographs, Pepperdine Olympic letterhead, other ephemera, and a 1984 Olympic torch. Also included are materials from the 1982 United States Olympic Academy VI, a conference held at Pepperdine to study the Olympic games.

Abstract The Associated Women for Pepperdine (AWP) was started in 1958 by Helen Young and a group of women united in their belief of the importance of Christian education. AWP members conduct fundraising events such as dinners, auctions, and bake sales each year in order to provide students with scholarships to attend Pepperdine University. This resource contains the collection of Nan and Elmer Carlson, long-time residents of Malibou Lake Mountain Club. The collection focuses on the history of the club and its surrounding region, the Santa Monica Mountains. Materials include bulletins, newspaper clippings, official club publications, reports, memorabilia, maps, and photographs, as well as Nan's notes and research on various topics of club history.

Abstract

The Malibou Lake Mountain Club is a private, secluded community in the Santa Monica Mountains of Southern California. The collection contains the Club's administrative files, which are largely member files, containing applications, background checks, and correspondence with each individual member. Also included are Club correspondence, administrative records including president's reports and by-laws, and a collection of Club bulletins. Materials date from 1922 to 2015.

Abstract

The collection includes a wide variety of tourist ephemera relating to Elinor Oswald’s professional career as a tour guide. The bulk of the collection consists of brochures, maps, artist files, travel books, magazine articles, newspaper clippings, itineraries, business records, photographs, slides, negatives, and other materials that helped Elinor plan the tours. The materials date from 1968 to 2009.
