Margaret Martin Brock was a philanthropist who had a long-standing relationship with Pepperdine University, particularly the School of Law. She was also highly involved in fundraising for the Republican Party throughout most of her life. This collection includes correspondence, subject files, photographs, and newspaper clippings about Margaret Brock, her involvement in politics, and her philanthropy.

Abstract Mary Frampton was an award winning photographer who worked for the Los Angeles Times for over thirty years, starting in 1956 as one of the first female staff photographers. Later in life, Frampton became deeply involved with environmental activism in her hometown of Malibu, California, founding the Save Our Coast organization to campaign for environmental causes. The collection contains material produced by and related to the Graziadio School of Business and Management (GSBM) at Pepperdine University. Items include recruitment materials; press clippings; a GSBM history guide written by Ruth Atteberry; alumni publications, event programs, and other printed material; class schedules; photographs; and audiovisual material. Materials range from 1968 to 2014.

Abstract

John Merrick was elected Judge of the Malibu/Calabasas Judicial District in 1964 and served on the bench until his retirement in 1986. Judge Merrick was also heavily involved in the community of Malibu from the time he moved there in the 1940s and started a number of important Malibu organizations. This collection contains a range of materials both in format and subject related to his professional life as Malibu's Judge and his work in the Malibu community.

Abstract

The collection includes a wide variety of tourist ephemera relating to Elinor Oswald’s professional career as a tour guide. The bulk of the collection consists of brochures, maps, artist files, travel books, magazine articles, newspaper clippings, itineraries, business records, photographs, slides, negatives, and other materials that helped Elinor plan the tours.
