Scope and Content

The collection contains records from multiple offices on campus related to computers and computing. Files include meeting minutes from the Data Administration Group, the history and usage of the Ensystec 1000 computer system at Pepperdine, meeting minutes from the Interoffice Coordination Committee, and a user's manual for the computer systems used by the Finance Office. Historical note

Computers were first introduced at Pepperdine University in the late 1970s and early 1980s under Howard White's presidency. Multiple committees were formed to oversee the use of computers on campus for financial and recordkeeping purposes, including the Data Administration Group (DAG), Interoffice Coordination Committee, the Computer Systems Committee, and others.
