The collection includes correspondence, financial reports, memoranda, and other materials related to the universities' strategic planning. Topics include: application of Pepperdine ideals, student development, plans of action for the various Pepperdine schools, international programs, and the university libraries. The documents are print and originals, and range in date from 1977-1997.

Advance notice required for access. Materials in the collection are restricted for 25 years from date of creation. The entire collection is open for research in 2022.

Historical note
The Strategic Planning Committee was the body originally responsible for the creation of Pepperdine University's strategic plan. Today, the committee no longer exists and the responsibility of adopting university wide strategic plans is up to the Board of Regents.
