Pacific Grove Church of Christ Records

The Pacific Grove Church of Christ formed in 1943, then called the Central Church of Christ, in Pacific Grove, CA. The church operated until 2021, in the later years joining together with Marina Church of Christ. The church offered Sunday morning Bible classes and worship services, as well as Wednesday evening classes for most of its 78 years, as well as community building events, like camping trips, youth camp, and Homecoming. For much of this time, Dean Bixler served as the head minister of the Pacific Grove Church of Christ, and many of his sermons and sermon notes remain in the collection. The church also supported missions across the world, keeping record of many missionaries that they supported financially.
