Biographical / Historical
The Malibu Surfside News was a source of local news for residents of Malibu for 44 years. The tabloid style weekly newspaper was published by the Chicago-based newspaper conglomerate 22nd Century Media from October 2013 to March 2020. Previously, the newspaper was published and edited by the owner, Anne Sobel before she fell ill in June 2013.
The Malibu Surfside News ceased print publication in 2020 and switched to digital-only. Due to a loss of advertising revenue at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020, 22nd Century Media shut down.
