Scope and Contents
In conjunction with The Malibu Times, Johanna Spinks created "The Face of Malibu" portrait series. Sixty-one sitters were painted over a five year period, from California State Senator Henry Stern, five Mayors of Malibu, Malibu's original 60s surfer girl" Gidget' Kathy Zuckerman to the original Marlboro Man, Zuma Jay. There was a three month show in the fall of 2017 sponsored by the Malibu Cultural Arts Commission.
