The collection consists of the documents produced by the Seaver Faculty Association and its members between 1992 and 2013. It is made up of chronologically ordered files relating to numerous Seaver Faculty Association meetings, governance, and activities, as well as university matters. Documents cover a wide range of topics including meeting minutes, sexual relations policies; budget negotiations; Tenure policy changes; Notice and Comment policies; Steven Moore Trials; governance of the Seaver Faculty Association; and faculty issues relating to activities, policies, and procedures. Documents relate to various committee’s under the SFA, though primarily the SFA Executive Committee. Also included are documents relating to other organizations within Pepperdine University, such as Seaver Diversity Council and University Faculty Council.

The majority of the collection is between the years 2001 and 2011. Two files, from 1992 through 1994, are included in this collection, contacting documents about the Seaver Faculty Association and its functions when it was called Faculty Organization of Seaver College.

Advance notice required for access. There are files that contain confidential information, and therefore access is restricted for 25 years from date of creation. The whole collection will be open in 2038.
