Scope and Contents

This sub-series contains the files on persons who applied for membership in the Malibou Lake Mountain Club before 1965. Although the contents of each folder vary, many contain the following: application for membership, which may include financial details and letters of recommendation; correspondence with Club directors and management; membership cards and certificates; contracts and bills of sale; legal paperwork; blueprints and land surveys of cabin sites.

Advanced notice required for access. Due to the sensitive nature of the member files, access is restricted until 65 years after their creation.

Arrangement

This sub-series is arranged alphabetically by member last name. The items within each folder remain in their original order.

Processing Information

Some folders contain documents removed from the Correspondence series, per donor instructions to return them to the corresponding member folder. These documents remain paperclipped together and labeled with the member's name.
