B. Personal and Family History Files, 1937-2000s

The sub-series contains Helen Young's personal materials, including two boxes of memory book files and Pepperdine history files throughout the decades. The memory book files are full of newspaper clippings and other saved items that were likely meant to go in a large personal history scrapbook. Other personal materials include biographies of Helen, college course notes, party planning notes and guest lists, Christmas cards and lists of gifts given and received, Associated Women for Pepperdine (AWP) cookbooks, and materials related to the Young home such as construction and design plans, house inventories and guest books.

Also included in the series are materials related to Helen and M. Norvel Young's immediate and extended family. This includes histories and genealogies of the Young, Mattox, and Morrow families; published materials mentioning family members; correspondence between family members; and ephemera from both older generations and the Youngs' children.
