Series 1: This series contains papers, correspondence, research notes, and ephemera from Jerry’s academic career. Resources of note are his senior thesis which he wrote at Abilene Christian College entitled "The Apollos of the West": The Life of John Allan Gano, 1972”, his doctoral dissertation which he wrote at the University of Santa Barbara entitled "Political Disciple: The Relationship Between James A. Garfield and the Disciples of Christ, 1977", and promotional materials from his time as coach of the basketball team at Michigan Christian College for two seasons.
