Scope and Contents
The Malibu Tile Collection contains twenty-five tiles, most produced by the locally operated Malibu Potteries (1926-1932). The tiles are various shapes and sizes, and many of the designs are inspired by Saracen, Moorish, Spanish, and Mayan cultures. The collection is organized by XXXX.

Provenance
Tiles in Box 6 were Discovered on Pepperdine campus in 2021 and originally donated by Grant Adamson. Tiles in Box are from the Gull's Way Estate.
Physical Description
This intricately patterned tile features an inlaid radial motif inspired by 15th and 16th century Hispano-Moresque design. The satin glaze is blue, yellow, and green on the inlay, and white on the background.
