The collection includes research materials that Gary L. Moore, a doctoral student at Pepperdine University in the Graduate School of Education and Psychology, accumulated while writing his dissertation on the leadership style of the Associated Women for Pepperdine. The dissertation is titled A Phenomenological Study of Leadership of the Associated Women for Pepperdine 1958-2003. Most of the research materials are audiocassettes of interviews Moore conducted with past AWP presidents. Other items include biographical information on past presidents, release forms, interview questions, summaries of interviewee responses, correspondence, and a copy of the preliminary oral examination that Gary prepared for his committee.
